Ruth's Tribute Fund

Created by Lorraine 16 years ago
Welcome to the Ruth Bancroft (nee Higgins) Tribute Fund. This page has been created in memory of my dear sister Ruth and to help raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Ruth died from this cruel debilitating disease on 18th August 2005 aged 45 and her husband and family wish to commemorate her life. Ruth was a wonderful and much loved wife, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and aunt as well as a good friend to many. She was loved by everyone who new her and is greatly missed. Ruth spent the first twenty-two years of her life in Glasgow before moving to Kent. She lived a very full life enjoying a successful career and making many friends along the way. She always kept good health until she was diagnosed with MND only just over 3 months before she died. The Motor Neurone Disease Association offered Ruth great support and advice during her illness. They also fund research into the disease, which at present has no cure. A big thank you to all who have contributed to this fund so far, it is very much appreciated. Please consider making an online donation or if you prefer you can help to raise money for this Tribute Fund by creating an online sponsorship page to mark a special event or occasion. All money raised on these pages will be earmarked as being donations made via this Tribute Fund when they reach Motor Neurone Disease Association. Simply choose one of the links above to see what you can do. You are warmly encouraged by Ruth’s family to sign the guest book and tell other people about this service. Kind Regards, Lorraine Johnston
